How to Clean Your Paint Brushes I Watercolor, Acrylic & Oil

Paintbrushes are beautiful things, so let's treat them with respect! In this video, I explain the different ways you should clean your paintbrushes when working with watercolours, acrylics and oils! Clean with soap! Don't leave brushes sitting bristle down in water cups! Wipe the paint off before cleaning! All of these bits of wisdom and more in the video, check it out!

PS. One thing I forgot to mention in the video that's really important is to make sure to try and keep paint on the tip of the bristles only and not to get paint into the base of the bristles. If paint gets into the base of the bristles and dries in the ferrule of your brush, it will cause the bristles to fan out and lose their intended shape. Try to keep the ferrule (the base of the bristles) as clean as possible, so I recommend using palette knives to mix paint colours on your palette instead of mixing with your brushes, as this is usually how we end up getting paint into the ferrule of the brush.
