Students Ages 9 and up. Ricky's After School Drawing Program allows student's explore their creativity, express themselves, and create awesome drawings while learning every step along the way! In this exciting 6–week program, students will use a range of graphite pencils, inking pens, coloured pencil, and marker. Students will learn various techniques in shading, how to accurately draw from a reference, and how to add their own uniqueness and creativity to every artwork they make. Every class includes a period of reflection and discussion, as well as lots of tips, tricks and insight. Students have the freedom to explore their unique creative self-expression, while arming themselves with the tools and knowledge to create totally awesome drawings!
Every student will need:
A Sketchbook 8x10 or 9x12, the higher quality paper the better.
Sketching pencil set (most pencil sets will give a good range like 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, but they'll be fine as long as they have at least an HB and a 6B)
Regular Rubber Eraser
Paper Blending Stump
Fine Black Inking Pen (permanent)(Staedtler pigment liner, Pigma Micron, Write-4-All, are all good brands, but any permanent black pen with a fine tip will be great!)
A small set of coloured pencils (or a big set, the more colours the better)
Optional Items: (these items aren’t required but if students want to have a broader range of possibilities in their drawings they can add these items to their kit)
Tombow Dual Brush Tip Markers
Tombow Mono Zero Fine Point Eraser
Permanent Black Inking Pens in a variety of tip sizes.
